I recently placed my first order with Skinactives & couldn't be happier. I whipped up a C + Ferulic Serum that works every bit as well as the Skinceuticals serum I was paying over $100 for! Actually, I like it better because I can adjust the amount of ascorbic acid if my skin is feeling a little sensitive - or bump up the glycerin if it's dry.
I live in Europe and I work as a model. Ever since I was little my skin has been both dry and sensitive. Treating my skin has been my top priority ever since I was 16, and now I am 21.Since being a model requires having flawless and healthy skin I have tried almost all products out there from honey/essential oil home masks, to professional treatments, to more expensive treatments with gold (AU) to products with caviar like La Praire and the La Mer products...I have tried it all.
About a year ago I found Skin Actives on Ebay. After the first application I was surprised and impressed. The products have not only improved my overall skin, but my capillary veins are MUCH less visible, and the overall redness gone. Effect upon my skin until now: My skin has NO imperfections, NO dryness, and I never break out. My skin is GLOWING, it is flawless. It is PERFECT. My skin looks amazing on photo, and other models just beg me to tell what I use for my skin. So I say I am this little chemist at home making my super booster with all the actives.
I know it is difficult to find products that work, because we all have different needs. I have several bottles of very expensive beauty products just collecting dust now. They might be okay but they are nothing NOTHING compared to the effect you receive from these actives.
I am not a stupid girl, I refuse to pay extra for some fancy brand or decorative jars just because "you are worth it". It is important to me to be able to read scientific reviews and facts about the different products without having to scroll through a lot of text telling me how I will look and why I must buy and how I will feel like.and how my live will change blahblah. Here I LEARN about the products in a way no one in any store could teach me. I bet I know more about skincare than any person working in a drugstore or beauty shop. I take off my hat to all of the workers behind skinactives.com. This is by far the best products I have tried, and the best store on the net selling skin products.
I started using Skin Actives about a year or so ago. Previously, I had been using DDF C Plus Serum and Strivectin for morning and Creme de La Mer for evening. When I read about Skin Actives, I was skeptical at first, but decided - after asking a ton of questions which Hannah answered promptly and completely - to try your products. I found that your products worked really well - at a huge price difference obviously. So I switched and have been using them as I mentioned for the past year.
About 3 months ago I decided to try an experiment. I used up my Skin Actives and bought a supply of my previous products. Much to my surprise, while my skin is still "ok", I can tell that my skin is not as nice as it had been when I was just using the Skin Active products.
I'm 56 and have been blessed with good, young looking skin. My plan is to keep it that way. Thank you for your wonderful web site and fabulous products.
You guys ROCK!!!!! I am a believer. At 53, I am told I look about 39. I use ONLY your products. Thanks for everything. My aesthetician tried to sell me the obligatory products, but stopped when I asked her if they could perform like my Skin Actives at that price. She actually asked for your website. Keep it up!
I just finished my first experience with trying your products. My skin has greatly improved since and I am telling everyone about your site. I also learn so much just by reading the forum. Just turned 50 in May-- & am post menopause--so I don't have time to spend on anymore products that do not really work!
I am sick of paying for fancy packaging and the brand awareness/advertising. I just want the actives and to know exactly what I am putting on my skin! Thanks for creating such great products to try and that I can afford to keep buying. I love SAS!!!
I will say, as a former La Mer addict who used to spend over $500 per month (yes, per MONTH) on La Mer products, that there IS indeed something that works in what they sell. My skin had never looked better before using La Mer.
However, that having been said: my skin has NEVER looked better - including when I used La Mer - than it does now after having found Skin Actives.
I think it's similar with Perricone (and I've used many of his products as well). His products contain ingredients that work: ALA, DMAE, Vit C, etc. And if your skin is accustomed to having none of those actives, your skin will look better when you use his products, even though the actives are at low concentration and the products are overpriced. So you'll believe a "miracle" has occurred, even though it hasn't.
But, at Skin Actives, you get the same actives, at higher concentrations, AND at a lower cost. No hype, no actors / spokes-models, no expensive videos embedded with subliminal messages... just great actives, great products and no B.S.
You simply can't find better anywhere else.
I tripped across your website while looking up DMAE
on line. I have been using copper products on my skin for a few years and the company that I purchase from had sent me a complimentary DMAE serum. Having heard of DMAE for sometime ago, namely Dr. Perricone's Skin Care Line, I tried it and had good results. Researching its qualities further online, I found your website and was really excited to finally find a skin care company that cuts through the crap and produces products that treats our skin with the science it deserves.
I ordered quite a few products both for myself and for one of my sons (his acne breakouts) and I am truly satisfied. I consider myself a
hard-sell and for me to leave my copper product line behind is a compliment to the integrity of your offerings. For what it's worth, thanks loads.
