A highly purified, powdered extract from the bark of Betula Alba containing high levels of the pentacyclic triperpenes, Betulin and Betulinic Acid. These substances are known for their ability to prevent cancer and even kill cancer cells by bringing about apoptosis of the tumor cells.

Betulinic acid actively inhibits the enzyme elastase to prevent/correct the loss of elastic fibers responsible for skin suppleness. It stimulates collagen synthesis and inhibits the inflammatory processes by protecting against protein kinases. It inhibits melanogenesis to achieve skin lightening and improve skin tone and clarity.

Each tube is enough for about 4 fl oz of cream or lotion at approximately 1-1.5% concentration (1.5 g in 120 mL cream). Use in your favorite cream or add to our Canvas Base Cream, European Cream, or our Sea Kelp Ultramarine. Betulinic Acid may be a little slow to dissolve, but with patience it will give you a great cream.

Note: Try Betulinic Acid with Arbutin, Kojic Acid Dipalmitate, and Niacinamide for a synergistic combination of skin lightening actives.
