Each tube is enough for 20 fl oz of cream or lotion at approximately 1% concentration (5 g in 600 mL cream), so we recommend 1.2 g in 4 fl oz of cream. Use in your favorite cream, or add to our Canvas Base Cream or our Sea Kelp Coral.
The powder will not dissolve immediately but will release components slowly into the cream/lotion.
Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Caffeine Extract.
Caffeine decreases the risk of skin cancer promoted by UV irradiation; apparently by slowing down repair of DNA mutations caused by UV, making it more precise and preventing mutations that may lead to cancer. Caffeine also decreases the thickness of the subcutaneous fat layer by inducing lipolysis.*
Other beneficial effects of caffeine are analgesia, antiviral, anti dermatitis, and antioxidant. The “de-puffing” effect of caffeine may be mediated by the promotion of sodium export from the cell, which is followed by water loss.*
