Many of the emails I receive are from women who wish to go back to the skin they had as babies: smooth as silk, no visible pores. This is not possible because with puberty comes a flurry of hormones, and because our skin has receptors for these hormones, skin biochemistry and physiology will change accordingly. The skin of adults is not supposed to be smooth and glowing. However, I understand the need (or desire) for a product that will help get a bit of that smooth feel, without irritation or down time.
Please remember that, unless you are a baby, we can't make your skin look like baby skin. Only Photoshop can do that.
Bamboo powder is a translucent white exudate obtained from the nodes of some species of bamboo that crystallizes at room temperature. This exudate (tabashir, tabasheer) is composed mainly of silica and water and is part of the Ayurvedic, Unani, and Chinese traditional medicine systems. The tabasheer crystals can be used as a mild exfoliant and are rich in mineral salts, including silica.
Bromelain, a cysteine endopeptidase (protease) in the pineapple fruit has a long tradition as a medicinal plant in South and Central America.
The active chemical in White Willow Bark is salicin, very similar in structure to salicylic acid but non irritating and with better bioavailability.
Kiwi contains beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. It is also rich in proteases.
