Live yeast cell derivative a.k.a. dermal respiratory factor (Saccharomyces lysate extract) There is very little scientific information on the effect of “live yeast respiratory factor” on inflammation or eye puffiness, but there is a lot of anecdotal “evidence”. As example of anecdotal evidence I have to include the bit in (favorite movie) “Miss Congeniality” where Michael Caine (Victor) tells Sandra Bullock (Gracie) how to prepare for the swimsuit competition. Gracie: Hemorrhoid cream? Do you really think they'll be looking that closely? Victor: It’s for your eye bags. Because there is so much anecdotal evidence and yeast is such a great source for vitamins and more, I thought we could use it in our cellulite cream. Also, we will sell it for a while and see whether there is an actual demand for this active. Why would this yeast extract increase respiration? It may work by increasing substrate availability but, much more likely, by supplying coenzymes, cofactors, vitamin

Why would this yeast extract increase respiration? It may work by increasing substrate availability but, much more likely, by supplying coenzymes, cofactors, vitamins, etc.
What about its possible effect on inflammation? It has been suggested that this effect has to do with the presence of heat-shock proteins but I think this is unlikely. But, whatever works is fine by me and yeast is good (think beer, wine, bread).
We are currently using this active in our new cellulite control cream.
Add to four ounces (120 ml) of cream. Can be used to make eye creams, and anti-age creams. This is a freeze dried extract, and will absorb water readily. Keep well closed in a cool, dry place. If the powder "hardens", simply add a few drops of water to dissolve it and add to the cream or serum.
