Gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a non-essential amino acid necessary for brain metabolism. GABA is used in skin care to lessen the effects of wrinkles as part of an anti-aging regimen. According to recent research "the gamma-aminobutyric acid (A)-like receptor associated with skin barrier homeostasis and regulation of the receptor (could be) clinically effective for barrier dysfunctional or epidermal hyperproliferative diseases."
Each tube is enough for about 8 fl oz of cream or lotion at approximately 1% concentration (3 g in 240 mL cream), so for 4 oz of cream we recommend 1.5 grams of GABA. It will dissolve readily. Use in your favorite cream or add to our Canvas Base Cream, European Cream, or our Sea Kelp Ultramarine base.
