It has been shown that topical application of this active at a 1% concentration improves uneven skin tone and the severity of rosacea. Use with niacinamide for best results.
4-ethoxybenzaldehyde was used in Cutanix, and it is now present in SkinMedica Redness Relief CalmPlex.

Add contents of tube to 4 fl oz of cream or lotion at 1% concentration (1.2 mL in 120 mL cream). Use in your favorite cream or add to our Canvas Base Cream, European Cream, or our Sea Kelp Ultramarine. The active is frequently used in perfumes and can provide a pleasant fragrance to a cream or lotion.

    This is the ONLY product that calms the irritation of my rosacea and reduces the redness and bumps. And I have tried just about every other product singly and in combination with this. If you have rosacea, give it a try by itself in the base cream. This inexpensive product has literally changed my life. I can now go out into a normal wind and sun, without pain. It causes a tingle and some redness on application, so dilute until your skin can manage the right "dosage" for you.

    I use this product along with Niacinamide, Azeloyle Glycine, olive extract with squalene in the canvas base. The mix has kept my Seb derm in total remission and worked well with my roseacea.

    I have no idea what this stuff is or whatever but i would be a 10 litre jug of it if i could. this is THEE best product i have ever tried for my rosacea, it has saved my life, my skin was so super irritated and red all the time, after using this for the first time i could hardly believe how good it was, i was waiting for the catch but i continue to use it and i absolutely love it, if you have rosacea buy this and change your life. along with other skin active products i have a new life now i thank this company from the bottom of my heart

    I found out this was the active ingredient in SkinMedica's CalmPlex. Calmplex did actually reduce my redness somewhat, but it was in a nasty stinking mineral oil base. I bought the 4-Ethoxybenzaldehyde here and added it to my own plain Rachel Perry moisturizer. It works just as well and no sticky stinky $80 CalmPlex. Now I am buying a cream from SAS to add the 4-Ethoxybenzaldehyde and Niacinamide to. Thanks for a simple, affordable alternative to the overpriced skin care sold in spas and doctor's offices.
